Plan Description

This program is designed for athletes with no or a small amount of triathlon experience wishing to complete a ‘sprint’ distance triathlon event. Typically this is 750m swim; 20km bike; 5km run. The plan could be applied to a 'super sprint' triathlon which is typically <500m swim; 10-15km bike; 3-4km run.



    Equipment Required



    • Stop watch or GPS watch
    • Access to a road or time trial bike


    Program Features



    • 12 week gradual progression

    • 1-2 swims per week

    • 1-2 cycle per week

    • 1-2 run per week

    • 1 brick (swim/bike/run) session per week

    • 3 week specific progression, followed by a 1 week recovery

    • Free email correspondence throughout the program

    • Educational notes on training zones, training nutrition & recovery strategies
