Plan Description
This program is designed for athletes with no or a small amount of triathlon experience wishing to complete a ‘sprint’ distance triathlon event. Typically this is 750m swim; 20km bike; 5km run. The plan could be applied to a 'super sprint' triathlon which is typically <500m swim; 10-15km bike; 3-4km run.
- Stop watch or GPS watch
- Access to a road or time trial bike
- 12 week gradual progression
- 1-2 swims per week
- 1-2 cycle per week
- 1-2 run per week
- 1 brick (swim/bike/run) session per week
- 3 week specific progression, followed by a 1 week recovery
- Free email correspondence throughout the program
- Educational notes on training zones, training nutrition & recovery strategies
- Bachelor of Education (Physical Education) with Honours
