Plan Description
Welcome to Mind Over Matter Endurance and thank you for joining our team by choosing this tried and proven training program.
If you want to do your first full distance triathlon or you are coming back to set a PB. Or maybe you are an endurance junkie just like the like this programs author and you are looking to extend your love affair with this amazing sport. In all these cases this program is for you.
I have written the program to be four programs in one. You will build your full distance campaign around the following phases:
Phase 1 - Adaption
Phase 2 - Aerobic base
Phase 3 - Full distance specific base and
Phase 4 - Race specific phase.
These 4 x 6-week macro cycles are built around 2 + 1 micro week cycles consisting of 2 week build cycles and 1 week recovery. The program encompasses the authors three essential percentages for success. 10, 20 and 80. 10% harder each build week. 20% hard high intensity work in heart rate zones 4 and 5 and 80% Long Slow Distance (LSD) in zone 2 or 180 bpm minus your age.
The program has been designed, written and tested by a 6 time long distant triathlete, 50 and 100km trail runner and 2-time Ultraman athlete. The author also runs a coaching business for multisport athletes and will open places for any athlete who want to be coached by an experienced endurance athlete who has a track record of finishing what he starts based on the program he writes and follows.
While working for countless hours on this program and fine tuning it over years, I have intentionally made it inexpensive as our sport is already way too expensive. So please don't look at the price and think it can't be any good. I like to think of this as an opportunity for me to give back to a community that has given me such a great quality of life.
