Plan Description
This training plan is specifically designed for the Sawtooth 50 mile race in north central Washington. It was big climbs, and this plan will prepare you for that. Because of the nature of the course, you will need to prepare for a couple of big training days leading up to the race. The plan includes strength training workouts, but if you're new to strength training we have a You Tube channel with exercises that you'll be doing, as well as links in the workout description. You don't need access to a gym for the workouts, but having something you can step onto (box, stair, cooler, bench, chair) as well as something heavy you can lift (water bottles, kettle bells, kid, backpack filled with books or gear) will be helpful.
