Plan Description
This 12 week running plan will help lay solid foundations for any future trail running or ultra running plan. Designed by endurance coach, university lecturer, and sports physiotherapist Tim Pigott BSc MSc, this plan encapsulates his education, experience, success and passion for helping thousands of people achieve their dreams.
The training plan starts with the long run at 2hrs and progresses to 3hr long runs. Accompanying the running are 3 strength and conditioning sessions each week based on our 21k S&C plan. So a good plan if you intend to use some half marathon racing as your winter prep' before longer trail races later in the season. Sunday is set as a long bike ride to help build aerobic volume but not pound the legs further.
Once you have completed this plan you will be ready to then start race specific training depending on the demands of your chosen event.
