4-Week Transition Training Plan for Beginner to Intermediate Runners

Overview:


This 4-week training plan is tailored for athletes who are transitioning from foundational plans to specialized plans, or after completing a specialized plan and race. The plan is aimed at runners accustomed to running 3-4 times a week.

Training Specifics:



  • Duration: 4 Weeks

  • Frequency: 4 workouts per week

  • Weekly Average Training Time: Approximately 3 hours 15 minutes

  • Longest Individual Workout: 1 hour 20 minutes

Additional Components:



  • Running Zones: Full guide to obtaining running zones, and how to apply these.

  • Nutrition and Hydration: Full guide to carboloading for a Marathon.

  • Core training: Include core training exercises 2-3 times a week to boost core strength and minimize injury risk.
