The training program is tailored for individuals who meet the following criteria:

- Intent on qualifying for the Boston Marathon
- Interested in running strong and potentially improving their time
- Seeking to include speed work in their training regimen
- Capable of commencing the training with an 11-mile long run
- Able to complete 32 miles in the first week of training
- Training plans consist of elements such as long runs, fartleks, tempo runs, track speed workouts, and recovery days
- Willing to run 5 days a week
- Possess marathon running experience, having completed at least three marathons
- Several years of running experience
- Able to meet the Boston Marathon qualifying time for their age group (no more than 25 minutes over the qualifying time for ages 55-59)
- The training plan is customized based on the individual's Boston Marathon age qualification time.
