The training program outlined is tailored for runners who meet the following criteria:
- New to the marathon distance.
- Have successfully completed at least two half marathon races.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of consistent training experience.
- Can comfortably start their training by completing 38 miles in the first week.
- Begin with an initial long run of 10 miles.
- Willing to incorporate speed workouts into their training routine.
- Acknowledge the importance of recovery, cross training, strength training, and stretching in their training plan.
