Want to improve your threshold? Look no further! Building up your threshold or FTP is the holy grail of cycling and MTB. How do I know? Sure, that video was made for mountain bikers, but this training plan is designed to be done with a power meter on either the trainer or the road. If you're a die-hard mountain biker, try doing the structured workouts on the smart trainer or road with your MTB plus power meter, You can do the easy rides on any terrain :) For roadies - this is perfect to elevate your FTP over a plan that won't totally crush you. Instead, it keeps you building consistently!
Who will this plan work for?
-Road& gravel riders, cyclocross racers, and all endurance or gravity MTBers
-Beginner to intermediate riders looking to get out of the rut and cut their race times
-Anyone with limited time to train (note that days can be moved around the week as needed)
This plan is deigned to build you up over 8 weeks to be able to absolutely DOMINATE the world's best workout: the 2x20 at THRESHOLD. We'll build you up over a number of weeks to get there, manipulating your intensity, cadence and work:rest ratios through a periodized training plan.
