About This 24 Hour MTB Training Plan
This training plan gives you the best workouts and training progressions we have used to prepare adult masters athletes for 24-hour Solo MTB Races such as the Chico 24-Hours of Summer Solstice and the 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo.
The plan requires 7-15 hours per week but there are many options noted to extend or reduce durations as your schedule, fitness and goals dictate. The biggest week has an option of pushing towards 20+ hours to approach the 24-hr race time over a week and one key week suggests the option of a challenge or 'practice race' to help you prepare for the demands of this long distance event.

The 24 hour Solo Specific Build Plan is for any athlete who is bold enough to take on a solo-24-hour bike race!

This plan assumes you have some fitness base coming into these last 3 months. This plan is targeted at adults with jobs so it is not extreme in volume and focuses on getting time off-road to develop both skill and fitness using intervals.

- Core routine and 1-2 weekly yoga sessions are provided and encouraged throughout the plan
