Plan Description

This is a 21 Stage training plan that aims to replicate the 2022 Tour de France Route. Each stage / session has a short description of the days stage and 'Main Set' that replicates the demands of the stage.

Be mindful to have your FTP set realistically in the platform you are using to control these ERG sessions. If required decrease the target power within a session if you feel you cant complete it at the prescribed intensity.

Please be mindful that this program contains some moderate to high intensity within each session. Although there are some recovery days and easier session programmed please be smart and take more recovery if you feel overly fatigued.


Apply this program to start at the beginning of the 2022 Tour de France (Friday, 1st July 2022). Keep in mind if you want to perform each stage while watching the highlights of the same stage and you may want to start the program a day later - especially if you live in a country with a time zone ahead of Europe (eg, Australia)

The intent of this program is to provide a good training stimulus while pairing it with the Tour de France to give some purpose and sense of inclusion for each training session.
