Since 2013 I've been living and working as a triathlon coach in Mallorca. Before I moved to Mallorca I lived in Cologne/Germany. There I studied sports science at the German Sports University, which is the biggest of its kind. From 2003 till 2009 I also had a teaching assignment at my university. After finishing my academic degree (German university diploma) I started my career as a sports journalist.

For approximately 15 years I wrote articles as a freelancer for several special and interesting media companies e.g. Triathlon, FHM, netzathleten.de, Ilovecycling.de, Trainingsworld.com and Mens Fitness. I have also published books relating to triathlon and running. The time as a journalist is and was very important for my development and future.

Writing day in and day out about things you love enables continuous development and learning. Hunting for new topics and exciting stories I did and do research every day. Today I’m still up-to-date with scientific development in endurance sport and can share my knowledge with my athletes.

Since 2013 I’ve been living in Mallorca working as a triathlon coach and swim trainer. With over 20 camps and more than 250 participants per year I am able to share my passion for sports and infect rookies with the triathlon virus.
