Plan Description

Creator: Maria Simone, No Limits Endurance Coaching

This 20-week plan is ideal for athletes who are relatively new to the 100 mile distance, or for those who are looking for a lower volume plan that will still enable them to finish the distance. It is first-timer friendly, as well as helpful for those who may have done a few 100 milers but are looking for something more structured and systematic for their training.

The plan includes information about how to set heart rate zones, and how to use RPE to manage and pace effort. Prior to starting this plan, you should be able to run 3-4 hours per week, with a recent long run (in the past 4 weeks) of at least 2 hours.

Athletes who embark on the journey to run 100 miles should have experience with ultramarathons, and we strongly recommend having run at least 50 miles in the past 12-24 months before attempting to train for and run 100 miles.
