Program Description
This 2-week program is designed for beginner swimmers who need some guidance tapering into a key triathlon or swimming event.
This program can be used as the swimming portion of a multisport program or independently as a swim only program.This program will require approximately 2.5-4 hours per week and can easily be integrated with any other bike/run program from the B78 Endurance Hub library or elsewhere.
There will be 5 swim workouts per week. We wish you the best of luck with your training.
Pre-Requisites
Athletes taking part in this program can be new to swimming and swim programs but should be en route to a start line or an event.This program is not designed to prepare you for the event specifically but rather guide you in the final weeks leading into the event. This training program is short because it is focused only on the two-week lead into a key event.
Programs to follow this one
After this program and your event, consider taking a break from swimming and then starting back up with the 3-week maintenance/off season program and then the 8-week general preparation program or one of the event specific programs for beginners.
Other things you should know
Equipment such as fins, pull buoys, and snorkels etc. can be used when directed.The indicated duration of the swim sessions is an approximation only. Please use the set distances as your goal. These swimming workouts have been designed for a 25m pool.
