Plan Description
This 'Beginner's 6-week Bodyweight Strength Plan' is ideal for building a solid foundation to compliment your running schedule.
Over 6 weeks, you'll cover 2 x 3 week blocks:
Block 1 focuses on 'bilateral' movement patterns (moving/coordinating 2 limbs at the same time) which improves the big 3 at a basic level - mobility, stability and strength. Focusing on good form, you'll see great improvements in your running early on!
Block 2 focuses on 'unilateral' movement patterns (single limb/single side activity) which improves balance, coordination and locomotive function - beneficial to any running style.
You have 2 sessions per week to complete.
Each session is approximately 30 minutes in length and is best viewed via the TrainingPeaks app.
