Plan Description

This is an 8-Week plan to help you PR your 1.5-mile time and build running strength and endurance through a variety of quality run workouts as well as long runs. This plan is meant for those that are already comfortable with running 10+ miles per week over 4-5 days of running. This plan can also be used to build running strength for a 5K race plan. We will work in 4-week blocks.

The first 4 weeks are more about building up weekly mileage while still running 2 quality workouts per week. However, the focus will be on your easy runs and weekly long runs.

The second 4 weeks, the focus turns to more high intensity quality workouts to build speed and strength for your 1.5-mile time trial on the last day of the plan.
