- Want to qualify for the Boston Marathon in the age group of 55-59.

- Are able to start the training with an 11-mile long run.
- Can comfortably complete a 32-mile week of training.
- Have a plan that includes long runs, fartleks, tempo runs, track speed workouts, and designated recovery days.
- Are prepared to run a total weekly distance of 43 miles, with the longest single run reaching 22 miles.
- Are committed to running 5 days a week.
- Have prior experience with marathon running, having completed at least 3 marathons.
- Are within the age range of 55-59 and can run a marathon in a time that qualifies them for the Boston Marathon in their age group (no more than 25 minutes slower than the qualifying time).
