Why Follow this Plan
This plan is for triathletes with a Sprint or Olympic distance event in their goals, who want to improve their ability to sustain their intensity during longer continuous bouts of swimming. Prepare for the strong continuous swimming required in your next triathlon event.
In this 3-week mini plan, we’ll focus on holding your threshold pace while increasing the distance to improve your training and continuous swimming ability. After this plan, you should feel better equipped to truly bring the heat in your training and into your next event– are you ready?
Plan Tips
The following equipment is recommended in this plan: fins, kickboard, paddles, and pull buoy. If you don't have this equipment you can still do this plan, just modify as needed. Most pools have equipment available to use, but it is always easier to have your own.
We recommend one workout per day, and at least a day of rest or an easy, recovery swim in between each workout to recover adequately
