Plan Description

Program Description

This 8-week program is designed for advance, short distance, triathletes who want a swim specific program leading into a sprint or Olympic distance triathlon event. This program will require approximately 3.5-6.5 hours per week. There will be 5 swim workouts per week of approximately one hour each. We wish you the best of luck with your training.

Pre-Requisites
Athletes taking part in this program should consider doing the 3-week maintenance/off season program to start.

Programs to follow this one
There are several great advanced programs you can use to continue on from this one. Consider the programs that will combine swim, bike and run in one program or programs for long distance races.

Other things you should know
Equipment such as fins, pull buoys, and snorkels etc. can be used when doing drills to enable sole focus on the drill. Equipment should only be used in the main sets when stated.
