Plan Description
The Build Strength Training Plan is the third edition to this strength training macrocycle. The entire focus of this mesocycle is to develop Specfic Physical Preparedness.
During this mesocycle the main formate for you is to further develop your Speed, Strength & Sport Specific requirements. Therefore, if there is any session, exercise or training tool that doesn't contribute to you overall goal, you need to eliminate it from this phase of training, since now is the time to specialise! Similar to our previous 'Base Strength Plan', the intensity is increased, so (again) your recovery is on a 'knife edge', meaning when there is no training session planned you must consciously active your parasympathetic nervous system and continue to prioritise sleep when possible.
Remember to schedule and separate your workouts during your training week (microcycle) so that you can elicit more physiological adaptations within the body. Without proper scheduling and sufficient rest there is a greater danger of 'diluting the potency' of your training, not sending a clear cellular signal' to the body, falling victim to the 'interference phenomenon'.
