New Feature: progressive strength training all guided by workout videos, includes a warm up and a stretch within each one. This makes strength training easier as I demonstrate form and technique.

The main objective of this plan is to help the very beginner runner build running fitness in a safe and effective manner. No previous running experience is required. It uses a walk:run progressive approach, meaning that we start with 30s of running in the first week and the final week, you will run for 60s. In addition to adding run time, we also add intervals. This allows the athlete to build run fitness gradually at a steady rate, reducing risk of injury and burnout.
This plan is excellent for those that have always thought about trying to run but can't seem to find a plan gentle enough for them to give it a try. It is also great to use for beginner fitness levels who want to lose weight.
All workouts are short and low-intensity so the beginner can train at a comfortable pace. Runs can be done outside or on a treadmill. Distance doesn't matter. All workouts are based on time. There are two days off per week.
Once you complete this 4-week plan, you will be ready to take your running to the next level. You don't have to be fit to start, but you have to start to get fit. Believe in yourself!
