Plan Description
This plan is designed to enhance your indoor riding skills based on an existing foundation of basic endurance. It follows the structure of the Zwift™ Racing League series, which consists of six races per season, and is also suitable for general improvement of indoor racing skills. For the ZRL, the plan can be used both for preparation and during the season. The focus is not only on race toughness but also on increasing the Functional Threshold Pace (FTP) and improving time trial abilities for shorter distances.
The training plan is divided into two phases, spanning two and six weeks respectively:
Phase 1: Preparation
Duration: 2 weeks
Adaptation to higher load intensities and acclimatization to the weekly intensity distribution.
Phase 2: Specific Improvement of Indoor Performance
5 weeks of intensive training
1 week of regeneration after the last race simulation or live race
