Plan Description

This base season training plan was designed for the athletes looking to get their base season completed over 12 weeks.
-Base season is an important part of any athletes training calendar and acts to improve the athletes aerobic endurance, muscular force, and towards the end, anaerobic endurance. This is achieved through long distance rides near the lactate threshold which is athlete dependent and auto calculated by TrainingPeaks software.
-We also incorporated basic strength and conditioning workouts that can be completed at home or at the gym, in order to work on that muscular strength throughout the season.
This plan was built to be enjoyed and has embedded workout notes with more informative information where warranted.
-Remember base season and off season are there to enjoy riding your bike and being outdoors. Have fun!
-This base training plan is built for people who recover slowly or people aged 50 and over, but can be used by anyone.
